Also going to plug Grassroots Fitness Project in NYC where I work as a trainer on the side! Their whole focus is women’s strength and teaching women to perform barbell, dumbbell and kettlebell moves to get progressively stronger and more resilient!
I started strength training a few years ago and it has been a game changer. I not only can pick up a heavy box if I needed to but feel stronger overall. I have endometriosis and was curious about the insulin and metobolic case related to this condition. Thanks for sharing!
I lift twice a week (one lower body day, one upper body) with two days of cardio. I love lifting, and knew that it's important for bone health, but it's great to hear that lifting (and fueling accordingly) is key for pregnancy and energy.
Great advice on lifting common misconceptions and helping women get started.

Ooh wish I tried this when I was living there
This is so important! I just wish that women in their 20s knew the power of weight lifting because those are the peak muscle building years 💪🏼💪🏼
Seriously!

Love to hear this! Feeling strong feels so good, doesn’t it?
